I’m Matt Bell, the Destiny Church Student Ministries Pastor. I’m so glad you’ve stumbled onto our small sliver of the world wide web. However you got here, know that God has a plan and purpose for your life.
You’re not just just a collection of skin and bones flying through space on this rock we call earth. That couldn’t be further from the truth! You’re an eternal being, with an eternal purpose, designed by the creator of life Himself, to carry out His work on the earth.
That’s the message CGEN Student Ministries was designed to broadcast to the teenagers of San Antonio, TX. As a ministry of Destiny Church, we share the same core values and beliefs. Our purpose is to lead students into a right relationship with Jesus Christ, and equip them for service in God’s house, community outreach, and world missions. Our greatest desire is that we would see teenagers honor God with their lives.
I know the challenges that our families and teenagers are facing today are unparalleled in history. We have never seen such a systematic attack on families and Biblical standards as we see today. But I believe that God is bigger than all of that, and that He is raising up a Chosen Generation that He has called out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).
Each week, as I have the privilege of ministering to the youth of San Antonio, I see new fruit in their lives that I didn’t see there before. I see spiritual growth and maturity. I see a desire for God and His presence in their lives. But before any great victory, lies an even greater challenge. I see where the enemy has come in and wreaked havoc on unsuspecting teenagers. Each and every week, they walk through our doors, seeking, searching for a way out of the mess. And while we’ve seen victory and success in the past, I know that there is more. I know that there are greater heights yet to be attained in the Spirit. I know there is a greater depth of relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of that, I am committed to doing whatever it takes to see this generation accomplish ALL that God has planned for them to accomplish.
